The Parisian style in the interiors is definitely different than what we can see in the French wardrobe. Maybe not entirely different, because it will still be full of class and elegance but also full of splendour.

Here, adage- the less means more -does not work. The baroque works here.

ROCOCO! It is this style that developed the most in France. Because of that, French architect is very decorative and rich.

We find here a lot of various fabrics, materials, patterns, embroidery and colors.

But let's sort it out a bit.

The French style is associated with glamour, richness, pomposity, elegance and luxury. All this, however, is preserved in a good taste and usually toned down with pastel colors on the walls or light wood on the floor.

Another important things are open spaces because it visually enlarge the room, so nobody is overwhelmed with the amount of things rubbing in the room. The large windows also help to keep clarity inside the building by letting in the natural light.

In addition, there is symmetry combating the mess in the room. And that’s why French will buy an even number of furniture and will make sure that the accessories, despite their rich ornamentation, will also created a cohesion.

French style also likes natural materials. the best choice is natural wood on the floor and wooden furniture ..

And yea, furniture...

For sure everyone heard about the original french furniture and maybe even saw them. If not the original then just replica, because there are a lot of replicas to buy now.

French furniture are light, small and carved. They are characterized by rich ornamentation, woodcarving decorations, a floral ornament, applications from golden bronze and upholstery of the best quality upholstery fabrics.

Design

The French style is dominated by floral patterns, but there are also very characteristic vertical stripes. The most important are two common elements - pattern and shade.

In France, for years, there have been produced mole-cades printed in genre scenes (so-called Toile de Jouy, it is a canvas from Jouy), silk damasks, hand-woven tapes, also called tapestries from the French family of weavers and dyeers Gobelin. Patterns on these fabrics were often designed by prominent artists.

Colors

French style colors are calm and delicate, usually pastel. These include beiges, white and shades of blue, gray, pink or violet.

The walls in the French style interior are covered with bright wallpaper or paneling in the same color.

Furniture are usually bright and even snow-white, often decorated with gilding or silver-plating.

In the variant of the so-called Provencal we find a lot of so-called knives, that is, "unevenly" painted equipment.

French-style interiors can also be arranged in slightly darker colors and in a more male style. A great break for bright, pastel colors will be black or graphite gray, which will suppress the delicacy of the French style.

Details and interior decorations

Decorative elements that are sure to be found in French interiors are tassels, curtain rods, lacing, tassels, pillows, bulky headrests and quilting ...

The interiors are also decorated with stucco, columns and supports.

On the tables or consoles there are, , trinkets of the picture type in decorated frames, candlesticks, mirrors in decorative frames, porcelain figurines or monochrome ornamented dishes ..

Light is also very important In the apartments so you will find ther a lot of lamps, lanterns, sconces ... And glass which we can find in the form of crystal chandeliers, lampshades and vases.

And that's it.

As you can see, the French interiors are definitely different than their clothes.

Simplicity balances glamor. Glamor balances the simplicity.

And it is the secret of this wonderful country. Balance. Class. Elegance.

It’s all from me.

Now it's time for you to admire this amazing architecture!
